Dubai

On my second day here we took a drive to Dubai. There were some amazing sights to see.

The Burj Al Arab - A 7-star hotel also known as the Arab Sail. Not the best picture but it's in the distance. It is the 2nd largest building to be used exclusively as a hotel.

Random photos of the Dubai Skyline

The Dubai Mall - The largest shopping mall in the world. There is a fountain show like the on at the Belagio in Las Vegas right outside the Mall. The Mall also has an aquarium made with the largest acrylic panel (plexi glass) in the world. ( 108ft x 27ft x 2.5ft thick, weighs 240 tons). Also inside the mall was butterflies hanging from the ceilings that looked really cool.

The Burj Kahlifa - The tallest building in the World. It stands at 2716ft. The Columbia Tower
(Seattle) stands at 1005ft and the Empire State Building is 1250ft tall. My picture didn't do it any justice standing near the base so I found a photo showing the building compared to the other skyscrapers in Dubai. It towers above them all.

Abu Dhabi has a building under construction that will be the furthest leaning building. Sounds safe right?!? ;) I plan to visit and get pictures of it. Stay tuned.
